KTZ Express and Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce Strengthen Transport and Logistics Cooperation

KTZ Express and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce held a meeting focused on strengthening transport and logistics cooperation and expanding international multimodal transportation.

The parties discussed prospects for developing multimodal transportation between Kazakhstan, China and Southeast Asian countries, opportunities to establish new logistics services and attract additional cargo flows, as well as coordination among participants in the transportation process.

Chongqing is one of the largest transport and logistics hubs in western China and serves as an operational center of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, which facilitates transport connectivity between China’s western regions and Southeast Asian countries. By the end of last year, the transport capacity of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor had exceeded 1 million TEUs, while the volume of cargo transported reached 327.7 thousand TEUs in 2025. Today, the corridor’s network connects 584 ports across 127 countries and regions worldwide.

This potential creates additional opportunities for the development of multimodal services involving Kazakhstan.

Particular attention during the meeting was given to opportunities for integrating routes through Kazakhstan with the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, creating a foundation for the development of end-to-end multimodal logistics solutions.

Following the meeting, KTZ Express and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation and exploring promising transport routes.
