KTZ Express and Pasifik Eurasia Develop Eastbound Backhaul via the Middle Corridor: Container Train Dispatched from Türkiye to China

JSC “KTZ Express”, jointly with the Turkish company Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dış Ticaret A.Ş., organized the transportation of a container train via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) along the route Izmir (Türkiye) – Aktau Port – Altynkol Station – Chengxiang (Sichuan Province, China).
The train consists of 50 forty-foot containers loaded with household refrigerators. Transit time across the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan along the Aktau Port – Altynkol Station route amounted to 83 hours. Freight forwarding services are provided by JSC “KTZ Express”.
The implementation of the project confirms the growing demand for the Middle Corridor as an efficient and competitive solution for organizing eastbound transportation from Türkiye and European countries to China.
KTZ Express and Pasifik Eurasia act as strategic partners in the development of Eurasian container services via the Middle Corridor. The parties are consistently increasing transportation volumes, expanding multimodal solutions, and attracting new cargo flows between the regions of Europe, Türkiye, and China. As part of the cooperation, measures are being implemented to synchronize container train schedules, ensure priority transit passage for rail services, and gradually eliminate infrastructure bottlenecks along the route.
A key area of cooperation is the development of sustainable eastbound backhaul traffic. The launch of this container service became a practical result of joint efforts aimed at balancing cargo flows and improving the efficiency of transport infrastructure utilization. Special attention is also being paid to ensuring delivery reliability and strengthening the transit potential of the Middle Corridor.
