KTZ EXPRESS REPORTS 2025 RESULTS


KTZ Express has summarized its operational and investment activities for 2025. The reporting period marked a stage of sustainable growth, expansion of transport geography, launch of new logistics services, and implementation of strategic infrastructure and digital projects aimed at strengthening Kazakhstan’s transit potential.

TRANSPORTATION

In 2025, positions on key international routes were strengthened.

  • Transport volumes along the “North–South” ITC increased 3-fold, China–Kazakhstan–Turkmenistan–Iran route – 4-fold.
  • Export container shipments grew by 43%, imports – 3 times.
  • Under the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM), exports increased by 71%, transit by 15%.

By year-end, KTZ Express’s share of transit container shipments across Kazakhstan was 36%. The company held leading positions on strategic routes:

  • 100% of TMTM shipments
  • 100% China–Iran–China
  • 83% China–Belarus–China
  • 68% China–Central Asia–China

Container flows remained stable, delivery times were met, ensuring predictability and competitiveness. Transit times on TMTM routes were shortened by 2–3 days compared to 2024.

  • From Xi’an: Baku – 10–12 days, Poti – 15–18 days, Istanbul – 20–22 days, Budapest – 22–24 days

SERVICES

In 2025, KTZ Express launched new container, multimodal, and integrated services:

  • First container route China–Afghanistan in partnership with China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd.
  • Expanded export geography for Kazakhstan–USA with full logistics services (first mile, insurance, container provision, pre-declaration)
  • Services Chengdu–Łódź and Shanxi Province–Azerbaijan under TMTM
  • Regular Turkey–Caucasus–Central Asia shipments, Kazakhstan–Belgium door-to-door international service, and others

PROJECTS

KTZ Express continued strategic and infrastructure projects in 2025:

  • Completion of Phase 1 of Container Hub at Aktau port, trial operation launched on Dec 25, 2025 (capacity – 140k TEU)
  • Commissioning 10 sorting tracks at Khorgos Gateway Dry Port, increasing transshipment capacity to 800k TEU/year
  • Creation of national cargo airline KTZ Air Cargo
  • Launch of commercial activities of Gulflink, jointly established with AD Ports Group

DIGITALIZATION

  • Unified Digital Window platform expanded: transit contracts digitized, e-waybills implemented, online services available, port operations digitalized
  • Integration with Azerbaijan Railways Control Tower system
  • Data exchange with Georgian Railways for pre-arrival notifications
  • Similar integration with Xian Free Trade Port Group and Yiwu platform in China

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

In 2025, international cooperation continued with partners from China, France, Austria, Turkey, Hungary, Pakistan, and Estonia to develop multimodal routes, expand terminal infrastructure, implement digital solutions, and improve transit efficiency.

  • Around 20 cooperation agreements were signed during the period

KTZ Express confirms its commitment to sustainable development, digitalization, and international cooperation, forming a competitive logistics ecosystem and strengthening Kazakhstan’s role as a key Eurasian transit hub.
