KTZ Express Presents Results of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Development
A meeting of representatives from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and China dedicated to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) was held in Astana.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the outcomes of their joint efforts, discussed achievements and current issues related to the development of the Middle Corridor, and outlined further steps to improve the efficiency of international transportation, develop transport and logistics infrastructure, and strengthen cooperation.
At the meeting, KTZ Express presented the results of joint efforts to develop the route, enhance transport infrastructure, and improve the quality of logistics services.
One of the key achievements of international cooperation along the route was the introduction of a unified end-to-end schedule for container trains. Developed jointly with partners, the schedule enables better coordination between rail and maritime transportation, reduces waiting times at intermodal connection points, and ensures greater predictability of delivery times.
Significant progress has also been achieved in digital integration. Automated data exchange on the location of rolling stock and advance information sharing on shipments have been established between the transport systems of the participating countries. This contributes to greater transparency of logistics operations and more efficient coordination across different sections of the route.
Following the meeting, the parties emphasized that further strengthening the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor depends on coordinated efforts among participating countries, continued development of transport infrastructure, and the provision of reliable, transparent, and predictable logistics services for international shippers.
